Opportunities

Seasonal Golf Service Attendant

Chartwell Golf and Country Club, a Distinguished Gold Club of the World, is looking to hire full time and seasonal golf service attendants. The outside service team will work in the golf department performing a variety of tasks under the supervision of the Outside Service Manager, Assistant Golf Professionals and Head Golf Professional. The position is seasonal and will typically go from March – November, weather permitting.

Job Description:

This position is one of the most vital roles in the entire golf operation. The primary role of this individual is to make sure that all members and guests are serviced to the highest degree possible. More times than not, whomever is working in this capacity, is the first person a member or guest sees when they arrive at Chartwell, and the last person they see when they leave. For that reason, it is imperative to make a positive first and last impression. This will greatly influence the memory of their Chartwell experience.

Specific tasks include:

  • Bag Storage and Club Cleaning Services
  • Daily Staging of Golf Bags & Golf Cars
  • Monitoring Range and Practice Facilities
  • Golf Car Cleaning & Storage
  • Ensure Cleanliness of Entire Pro-Shop Surroundings
  • Communication with Professional Staff
  • Member Communication & Service

Requirements:

  • 16 or over
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Pre-employment drug screening and random testing throughout the season will be required
  • Must be able to lift objects up to 40lbs.

Hours of Operation:

  • Weekdays – 7:00am-9:00pm
  • Weekends – 6:00am-9:00pm
  • 6-8 hours shifts per day

Compensation/Benefits:

  • Starting wage at $9.25/hour plus cash tips

Full Time Golf Course Maintenance / Greenskeeper

Chartwell Golf & Country Club, a Distinguished Gold Club of the World, is looking to hire full time seasonal golf course maintenance technicians.  The maintenance technicians will work on the golf course and grounds performing a variety of tasks under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent and the Superintendent.  The position is seasonal and will go from March- October, weather permitting.  At the end of the seasonal work, there may be an opportunity to stay on year round for the correct candidate.

Job Description:

The Golf Course Maintenance position will be involved in daily maintenance tasks which includes changing cups & markers, raking bunkers, mowing tees, mowing greens, mowing roughs, weed eating, removing trash, refreshing coolers, refilling ball washers, repairing divots, cleaning debris, and other duties as needed.  In addition to daily tasks, the golf course maintenance individual may be involved with special projects, fertilizing, landscaping, aerifying, seeding & sodding, and pest control.

Hours:

  • Typically 6:00 am-2:30 pm Monday-Friday, occasional weekends & holidays
  • Weekends 5:30 am- 11:00 am
  • Additional weekend hours as needed due to the weather

Requirements:

  • 16 or over
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must be able to complete and pass a thorough background check including drug testing
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and lift 50 pounds.

Compensation/Benefits:

  • Pay begins at $11.00/hour with possibility for overtime

Part-Time Golf Course Maintenance / Greenskeeper

Chartwell Golf & Country Club, a Distinguished Gold Club of the World, is looking to hire several part-time seasonal mowers for weekend only work (both Saturday and Sunday) for the Greens Department.  The position gets the course ready for member or tournament play on the weekend by mowing, raking, and other tasks as needed.  Employment is seasonal and typically goes from March – October, but may slightly shift based on weather.

Job Description/Position Overview:

The Weekend Greenskeeper will participate in the day-to-day maintenance tasks involved in course preparation from mowing greens, tees, and collars; push mowing, weed eating, and raking bunkers.  There may be other duties as assigned to include, but not be limited to, changing cups & markers, removing trash, refreshing coolers, refilling ball washers, repairing divots, cleaning debris, and landscaping.

Hours:

Typically 5:30 am-10:30 am Saturday and Sunday including holidays that fall on the weekend

Tennis Desk Attendant

Chartwell Golf and Country Club, a Distinguished Gold Club of the World, is looking to hire part time tennis desk attendant. The individual will work in the tennis department performing a variety of tasks under the supervision of our tennis professional staff.

Job Description:

This position is one of the most vital roles in the entire tennis operation. The primary role of this individual is to make sure that all members and guests are serviced to the highest degree possible.   • Greet members and guests warmly
  • Provide information about the tennis program
  • Provide assistance with merchandise including racquets, stringing and other necessities
  • Schedule court time, register members for special events, clinics and tournaments.
  • Be able to sweep and line Har-Tru courts and to refill water coolers on all courts.
  • Complete opening and closing procedures
  • Operate point-of-sale computer system
  • Exhibit exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Responsible for addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements:

  • 16 or over
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Pre-employment drug screening and random testing throughout the season will be required

Hours of Operation:

Weekdays:

  • Outdoor/Summer shifts: 7:45 AM to 2:00 PM / 5:00 PM to closing approx. 9:00 PM
  • Indoor shifts: 5:00pm to closing approx. 10:00 PM

Weekends:

  • Outdoor/Summer shifts: 7:45 AM to 12:00 PM / 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
  • Indoor/Winter shifts: 7:45 AM to 12:00 PM / 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM / 5:00 PM to closing, approx. 9:30 PM
  • 4-8 hour shifts per day

  • Must be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Will be working outdoors; some late evening shifts
  • Basic knowledge of wine, beer, spirits, and food is expected
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor, along with a positive attitude

Required Experience:

  • Customer service 1 year
  • Bartending or serving – 1 year (will be advantageous)
  • Drivers license
  • Must be over 21 years
